What is ITMA? |
ITMA is the world’s
largest international textile machinery exhibition, an event which
is owned by CEMATEX. ITMA is recognised as the ‘Olympics’ of the
textile machinery industry – a showcase of the latest technology
and a vital meeting place for buyers and sellers from all over the
world.

The History of ITMA |

In 1999 CEMATEX made the decision to
launch an event which catered to the growing needs of Asian textile
manufacturers
which represent a significant percentage of its association members’ buyers.
In 2001, ITMA Asia was born in Singapore, followed 4 years later
by ITMA Asia 2005, also in Singapore. In 2008 and 2010 CEMATEX held a combined show in Shanghai , China - ITMA ASIA + CITME - in collaboration with three Chinese partners, CTMA, CCPITTEX and CIEC.

ITMA 2011 Facts |

The 16th ITMA exhibition took place in Barcelona, Spain, in September 2011.
In total 1,350 exhibitors from 45 countries participated, taking 90,240 square metres net of space.
Over 100,000 trade visitors came from 138 countries, with the top countries being Italy, Spain, India, Germany and Turkey. The majority of visitors came from the textile making hubs in Asia, Central and South America.
The next ITMA in Europe takes place in Milan, Italy from 12 to 19 November 2015.

ITMA 2007 Facts |
|

The 15th ITMA exhibition took place in Munich Germany in September 2007.
In total 1,451 exhibitors from 41 countries participated, taking 102,000 square metres net of space.
Over 118,000 trade visitors came from 151 countries, around 63% from Europe and over 22% from Asia and the Middle East.
The next ITMA in Europe takes place in Barcelona, Spain from 22 to 29 September 2011.

ITMA Asia 2005 Facts |
The
2nd ITMA Asia exhibition took place in Singapore in October 2005.
In total 851 exhibitors from 36 countries participated, taking over
40,000 square metres net of space (an increase of 24% on the previous
show held in 2001).
Almost 30,000 visitors came from 86 countries.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 Facts |
The Second combined show of the two established brands ITMA ASIA and CITME was held in Shanghai in June 2010.
In total 1,171 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions participated, taking over 56,000 square metres net of space.
Over 82,000 trade visitors came from over 94 countries and regions. |
